Student Spotlight

Ben
Ben has been meeting with his Applerouth tutor Angela, mixing it up between in-person and online sessions. Through hard work, determination, and with the guidance of his tutor, Ben gained an incredible 6 points on his ACT composite score! Please read on to hear Ben’s feedback about his experience at Applerouth, and what he wants to say to other students prepping for the ACT and SAT.
Q: What has been your favorite thing about tutoring with Applerouth?
A: My favorite thing about tutoring with Applerouth was the experience of being able to watch myself improve, step by step, every day.
Q: What has been your favorite thing about working with your tutor?
A: My favorite thing about working with my tutor was getting the sense that I am not the only person that is completely confused about something, or the only person that has trouble with something.
Q: What is the best study tip that you have learned?
A: The best study tip that I have learned is to, when taking the reading portion of the test, identify each question that references to a specific line or lines, and do those questions first (as I read those specified lines), it was a complete life-saver on that portion of the test!
Q: How did you celebrate your ACT score?
A: When I saw my score via email in school, I stopped, dead silent, jaw dropped, staring at the number, for probably 45 seconds. It was great.
Q: Is there anything else that you would like to share about your experience?
A: I think everyone should have the opportunity to see how good they really can be, and tutoring with Applerouth will give you that opportunity.
Of the family’s experience with Applerouth, Ben’s dad says, “We felt overjoyed that this small financial investment on our part and Ben's hard work paid such huge dividends! Ben's college application process, and the additional choices he will have because of this test score, has been forever positively changed by his experience with your company.”
Congratulations to Ben and his hard earned success! We look forward to seeing his progress continue and agree with Angela when she says, “He is an exceptional student! He has a very bright future ahead of him.”
