Educational Consultant Spotlight: Vinik Educational Placement Services, Inc.

Bruce Vinik founded Vinik Educational Placement Services, Inc. in 2001 and has worked with hundreds of clients in the Washington, DC area and around the country. The mission of the company is to provide thoughtful and thorough guidance to high school students and young adults as they move into the next stage of their lives, from college through career.

College Counseling

Vinik EPS guides high school students through the college admissions process so that they end up at schools where they can be happy and successful. The company also works with transfer students who are interested in finding colleges that are better fits for their interests.

Career Coaching

Vinik EPS works with college students and young adults to help them discover their career interests. The company also provides guidance to clients who want help with resumes, cover letters, interviewing, networking and other aspects of their job search.

Bio

Before establishing Vinik EPS, Bruce Vinik worked for 25 years as a teacher and administrator at independent schools in the Washington, DC and Philadelphia areas. At Georgetown Day School, he was Director of College Counseling and Director of Admissions. He also served as both a middle school and high school principal in local private schools. In addition, he has spoken about college admissions, education, and adolescence at a number of organizations and schools in the Washington area. Bruce holds bachelors and masters degrees from Duke University.

Bruce is joined in his practice by Laura Hosid, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the New York University School of Law. Before coming to Vinik EPS, Laura worked for the Georgetown University Law Center where she served as an Associate Director of the Office of Career Services. Laura provides both college counseling and career coaching to clients.
