When Are AP Tests Happening This Year?
The AP exams span two weeks in May, testing a wide range of subjects.
In order to plan out your study schedule and stay on track, you’ll need to have a solid understanding of the schedule. We’ve included an overview of the AP tests calendar for May 2025 below to help!
What About Late Testing?
In special circumstances, late testing with an alternate form of the AP exam is allowed, albeit with an additional fee. Makeup dates are typically scheduled approximately one week after the regular AP testing period, spanning three days.

All AP exams start at either 8am or 12pm, local time.

Exams with Digital Asynchronous Submission
Several AP exams ask students to submit their portfolio of work to be graded asynchronously. They are the following:
- AP Seminar and AP Research: All final performance tasks and teacher-scored presentations must be submitted by April 30, 2025 (11:59 p.m. ET).
- AP Computer Science Principles: Final Create performance task must be submitted by April 30, 2025 (11:59 p.m. ET).
- AP Art and Design students: All three final portfolio components must be submitted by May 9, 2025 (8 p.m. ET).
